I created this web site out of a desire to share what I have learned in my life thus far with a wider audience, in the hope that it may prove useful whilst deepening my understanding at the same time. I want the workings of my life to make a positive impact upon the lives of others.

Some years back I read that we apparently live in a “benign and abundant universe”. I was captured by the implications of that notion. However this universe did not seem particularly benign and abundant when I looked at the world around me and all the famines and hardships experienced by the population of this planet.

Time passed and as I looked at my life I grew to see how opportunities tirelessly presented themselves to me over and over again and how “things” always seemed to work out eventually; yet in ways quite unlike those that I may have demanded simply through my personal reasoning. Yes, there was certainly an abundance of choices and paths available to me at least. So I set about learning more of this abundance theory and began putting it into practice. After all if the Universe really is a benign and abundant place then what a tremendous hope this holds for humanity at large. How would we live if we no longer feared lack? I suggest that we would probably share more and fight less.

I observe humanity presently living in a world motivated largely by a very real and tangible fear of lack. We stay in destructive relationships for fear that nothing better is likely to be found. We stick to jobs we hate for fear of unemployment or of not finding a better job. We betray our own instincts and values in order to “fit in” with a peer group for fear of rejection, abandonment or ridicule. We often buy cheap, poorly designed and made goods because we feel we cannot afford quality and fear not having enough for the essentials of life let alone “luxuries”. We buy “three for the price of two” when we only want one as this seems a bargain (fear of future lack) even though in that moment we are actually spending more than we intended.

Some live humble and extremely simple lives out of a conviction that there is not enough in the world, and feel it is their duty to live a frugal existence. Then others live lives overrun by all manner of excesses that still contrive to remain insufficient to them, as this same fear of lack and the certainty of the impermanence of all things lurks anxiously beneath their current experience of wealth. What if we really felt that our material needs and desires could, should, were and would be met? What if there really was enough and the world and the Universe really were abundant?

I now fully believe it is. In essence all we need to do in order to enjoy this new found peace is shift our beliefs and perspectives; we can then challenge ourselves to make different choices and risk the outcome.

My history

As a youth I was a restless chap and found it impossible to do as my parents demanded in terms of getting a fine education and a sensible secure job. I settled for an ok education and many and varied insecure jobs. I was called more by dreams of a fun filled life with travel, adventure and windsurfing in exotic locations. I wanted to truly enjoy my working life and not simply settle for a “safe” career that did not inspire me. To that end I spent much of the 1980’s in pursuit of my windsurfing passion, initially as an instructor, and later building handmade windsurf boards under the trading name of “Brainwaves”. In 1986 I headed for Europe and Australia to travel and learn the craft of yacht fairing whilst financing more surf trips. By 1991 I’d tired of my nomadic and sometimes impoverished existence and decided it was time to apply myself more fully to what had now become my most ready source of income, yacht fairing and painting. With the forthcoming re-location of my principal employer to Australia I formed a fledgling company that was to become known as Jacksons Superyacht Finishing Llp. So began a life phase of much hard work, stress and great learning that brought me to question deeply the nature of people, spirit, life and myself. I came to see patterns in events and recognised apparently random but fortuitous coincidences that seemed to be guiding my life.

Over the last 14 years I have studied much psychological and metaphysical material including Reiki, Crystal Healing, DNA Healing and Brennan Healing Science. I graduated in June 2003 from the four-year diploma course at the world-renowned Barbara Brennan School of Healing (www.barbarabrennan.com) in the USA.

My yacht fairing and painting business (Jacksons Superyacht Finishing Llp) remains my principal activity but I also pursue various creative sideline projects, and continue to study and develop content for this website when inspired to do so.

I’m 50-ish and live near Falmouth in Cornwall, UK with my wife our 2 young daughters, a couple of dogs, 4 cats and some shoals of fish. I have many and varied interests but in my leisure time I really love to windsurf, surf, sail and enjoy my wonderful family here in the beautiful surroundings of Cornwall.

Thank you for reading this far.
