Blossom Goodchild ~ Aliens to visit Earth 14th October 2008?

Someone drew my attention to this story of a supposed alien visitation to occur on Tuesday 14th October; a week today. This information having been channelled by Blossom Goodchild, she tells us:

“… they have announced that one of their craft will appear in our skies on October 14th 2008 for a period of three days in such a way as to prove to us the existence of other life forms in the Universe. The Federation of Light stress that they come in LOVE to help us and our planet move to a new Higher Vibration of Love. They have asked Blossom to get this message out to as many people as possible.”


I must say that I think that it is extremely unlikely that this event will happen next week but I am struck by the level of courage that is required to go public with such an “outlandish” claim. This interested me. I wondered who this woman was and what she was like; soon enough I found her on YouTube.

A perfectly likeable, sincere and well intentioned lady, in my opinion, who genuinely believes that her message is correct and that this event shall come to pass. I suspect we have a bit of “lightworker“ wishful thinking going on here.

This is how I reckon it comes about:

  1. A “lightworker” attains the state of regularly feeling deep oneness and love for all humanity.
  2. They come to feel thoughts such as, “If only everyone felt this way more often, then how wonderful life would be, no more senseless fear and pain…”
  3. This really is a deep heartfelt longing for the individual. They frequently, effortlessly, feel a Universal sense of love and long to share the joy of that feeling with the rest of humanity. “Hey, look what I’ve found, this is great”.
  4. However they also feel the deep pain of separation as they view the rest of the world apparently so far removed from their sense of well being loveliness. A world of pain, squabbling, strife and power struggles. They feel powerless to find any real way of conveying that such a different, joyous way of being is but a sensation away.
  5. How might that come about? How might humanity feel real love and unity? What can I do to share this?
  6. “Lightworkers” start gathering with other lightworkers and set up meditations groups and web forums etc., where they can all feel lovely snugly together and even channel the ascended masters etc.. Life is fluffy and kind, the New Age is surely dawning…

The trouble is its not that simple, there is much personal work to be done to clear ones “channel” to the spirit realms, much continued search for greater truth and integrity. Yes, we feel love, but there is also a “shadow” side to our nature that is hiding from view behind our little constructs of loveliness, its our pain and fear, our dark side. This colours “channelled” information with the “ego” personality of the channel. The reception is distorted.

I believe this is what is happening with Blossom’s alien message; its well meant but misguided.

I suggest you judge them more by the quality and feel of the content rather than get distracted by analysing the “reality” of the source.

Of course others prefer more mainstream works such as the Bible. That’s OK though, you get to choose…
