Fading Toward Enlightenment
One of the pleasures of operating this website is the unexpected contact and messages that I receive. An instance of this occurred a week of so back when I had an email from Wayne Wirs the author, photographer and publisher of this very beautiful book Fading Towards Enlightenment asking me if I was willing to promote his book on this site. The book charts his journey of discovery as a spiritual seeker traversing the turbulent depths of his being through times of hope and deep despair but all the while gaining insight and understanding of self and oneness. One mans quest for inner peace. What sets the book apart for me is the beautiful photography and poetic style of writing. Its a book to absorb through many senses in a full bodied manner, a book to be “felt” as much as read. I like that as we are much more than rational mental beings. His journey reminds much of mine and evokes a shared sense of understanding. It is good to meet fellow travelers on the often lonesome path of awakening.
What has it to do with abundance? Well in my experience it is through our own personal journeys similar to Wayne’s that we arrive at a state of far greater peace and contentment with the world around us. This in turn allows us to get out of the way of ourselves and simply feel into what tasks we need to undertake moment by moment to create the life of our dreams. We become simply satisfied to enjoy the journey rather than racing and grabbing at our supposed destination. Its the practice of living in the moment that manifests exactly what we need as we need it. We experience an acceptance of life and flow with its challenges as curious adventures filled with a faith and certainty that life is unfolding exactly as it should. We feel full and abundant for ever longer periods of time.
Thanks Wayne – good work.
